The UKK Institute has operated in Kauppi, Tampere, since 1984 and is known as a pioneer in Finnish research and expertise in health-enhancing physical activity. In October 2022, Aare Invest acquired the institute’s building and a lakeside property on the shores of Lake Näsijärvi from the Urho Kekkonen Fitness Institute Foundation. The UKK Institute continues to operate in the building as a long-term tenant.

As owners, our goal is to develop this iconic property while respecting its heritage and values. We aim to bring complementary services to the area that support the UKK Institute, and, together with local partners, to create an attractive sports, exercise and wellbeing hub in Kauppi.
